It has been a very interesting career!
In 1987 Tim became a Christian and no longer felt comfortable working in the Financial Futures industry. He switched to managing the settlements department of a Commercial Bank in the City of London. After studying at Bible School, Tim worked with an Evangelical Church in Ireland in evangelism and youth work. Then, in 1998, after a period of ill health, Tim began working as a bookkeeper for a small Christian Charity. Tim decided to retrain as an Accounting Technician with the Association of Accounting Technicians and worked for a couple of firms as their Accountant, mainly using Sage 50 accounts software.
In 2001 he became self-employed initially offering mainly bookkeeping and payroll services.
After an increase in tax related questions from clients, in 2004-05 Tim studied and successfully passed the Association of Taxation Technicians exams and has been providing tax services to individuals, the self employed and Limited Companies.
Tim’s broad experience enables him to get an understanding quickly of your business and, by applying sound accounting practice, help you to get the best out of it. Tim is regulated and licensed by the AAT to provide services in accountancy and taxation. Tim’s Christian beliefs provide a foundation for integrity and fairness. Although most of his business is serving Limited Companies, Tim enjoys helping the self-employed comply with their statutory duties and completing their Self Assessment Tax Returns. He also helps a number of Ministers of Religion who need to file a SA Return.
Tim regularly attends tax training seminars to keep his knowledge up to date.
He lives in St Albans, Hertfordshire, with his Finnish wife and young family and is a member of Spicer Street Church.
